Internship Program Weekend Activities

The University of Dreams weekend activities are one of the most popular aspects of our program, and it's no secret why. Traveling and experiencing the city is a crucial element in allowing you to explore all that Costa Rica has to offer. It is very important to us that you get the full experience of living in Costa Rica for the summer. Below is a breakdown of the type of activities the program will host.

Tour of the City
Each University of Dreams program kicks off with a tour of the city to familiarize students with their surroundings. The goal of this excursion is to introduce everyone to the city so that you can pick out spots you may want to revisit by the end of the summer. This activity usually takes place aboard a rented double-decker bus or by boat (sometimes both!). Included in the excursion is lunch along the way, and all other expenses are covered. Participants will want to bring their cameras!

1-2 Overnight Trips
All UoD programs have at least one overnight trip where we transport the entire group by charter bus, train, or air to a nearby vacation destination. On the overnight trip(s), each participant will receive breakfast on the bus, lunch upon arrival, hotel accommodation for one night, and tickets to a hosted sporting or entertainment event, tour, or attraction. 

Theater Show
In order to gain a little culture and show participants a classy night out, each program will host an excursion where you get to dress up and attend a special theater show. Included are the tickets and transportation to the show. It will truly be a night to remember.

Major Tourist Attraction
UoD will take participants to the best tourist attraction your city has to offer. This excursion will take the group to the one place you can't leave your host city without saying you visited.

Professional Sporting Event
Have you ever been to a Yankee, Dodger or White Sox game with 100 friends? You will if you enroll in the New York, Los Angeles or Chicago programs. How about a bull-fighting contest in Spain or a football match in London? You get the idea. We will bring the entire group to a professional sporting event. Game tickets, transportation and lunch will be provided.

Night on the Town
To close out each program, we will take all the participants out for a night on the town. This night will celebrate all the new friendships that have formed and be one last chance to spend a night together as a group. Dinner cruises were the popular choice last year, but we like to leave this one as a surprise. Count on a special night out where everyone gets to enjoy themselves. Dinner, transportation, and tickets (if any) will be included.
